33.5 MILLION TONS OF RAW MILK PRODUCED IN RUSSIA IN 2023

As the Minister of Agriculture of Russia Dmitry Patrushev informed at the XV convention of the National Milk Producers’ Union, raw milk production volume increased by 0.5 million tons compared to 2022. This is facilitated by the growth of productivity in dairy farming, modernization and the establishment of state-of-the-art production facilities. Dairy products manufacturing has increased too. Last year, cream production increased almost by 21%, cheese production by 16%, ice cream production by 12%, that of dry milk products increased by 8%. Foreign sales of Russian dairy products are developing; they increased by one third last year. Three new markets opened – Pakistan, Hong Kong, and Afghanistan. Currently, exports are carried out to 73 countries.
