AIR PASSENGERS TO BE ABLE TO CARRY MAXIMUM 10 KILOGRAMS OF ROE

The Committee of the Council of Federation for Agrarian and Food Policy and Environmental Management approved a bill that proposes to increase the control of roe transportation by air passengers. The bill limits the volume of roe carried to 10 kg. Control measures extension initiative is based on an experiment that started in Kamchatka in 2022. The new bill proposes to prolong this experiment till August 2027, as well as to extend control to the transportation of roe from Khabarovsk Territory and Chukotka. The State Duma has already approved this bill in the first reading in February. The main aim of the experiment is to stop industrial scale illegal salmon roe exportation.
