ANIMAL FEED AND VEGETABLE OILS TO BE LABELLED STARTING FROM AUTUMN 2024

The Russian Government has approved the terms and the rules of labeling for some products. Dry feed and treats, veterinary medicinal products, vegetable oils in glass or polymeric consumer package, non-alcoholic beer are subject to mandatory labelling from 1 October 2024. Canned fish and seafood will start to be labeled from 1 December of the current year, and vegetable oils in other types of consumer package from 1 February 2025.
For wet animal feed and for canned meat, meat by-products, vegetables and fruit, mushrooms and berries, the start of mandatory labelling is set from 1 March 2025.
