CHINA INCREASES THE IMPORTS OF THE RUSSIAN GRAIN IN JANUARY-MAY

China imported 753,000 tonnes of grain with the total value of 187 million US dollars from Russia in January-May of the current year, Zerno Online agency reports with reference to the Administration of Customs of China. The imports of the Russian barley amounted to 305,000 tonnes or $70 million, that of corn to 232,000 tonnes or $57 million, of buckwheat to 111,000 tonnes or $36 million, of oats to 75,000 tonnes or $16 million. Wheat imports have not exceeded 30,000 tonnes or $7 million over the first five months of the current year. To compare, the volume of the Russian grain imports from China reached 598,000 tonnes worth 140 million US dollars in January-May 2025. The following components can be singled out in the structure of this import: 205,000 tonnes of barley, 158,000 tonnes of buckwheat, 120,000 tonnes of corn, 104,000 tonnes of oats, and 12,000 tonnes of wheat.Source: https://www.zol.ru/n/41822
