22 May 2025 |
The National Association of Agricultural Insurers has introduced a response procedure due to declaring a state of emergency in agriculture in three Russian regions– Belgorod, Voronezh, and Rostov Regions. According to the president of the association Kornei Bizhdov, about 1.9 million hectares of crops were insured in these constituent entities in total as of the beginning of the current month. Most of them were winter crops – almost a million and a half. In all the three cases, frost was the reason for the emergency. The first region to declare the emergency was Belgorod Region, where 152 thousand hectares were covered with insurance protection. 435 thousand hectares are protected in Voronezh Region, and 1.3 million hectares in Rostov Region.Source: https://rosng.ru/post/agrostrahovschiki-vveli-proceduru-reagirovaniya-po-chs-v-3-regionah-rf
