26 March 2026 |
The total volume of investments in Russia’s fat-and-oil sector is estimated at 231.2 billion rubles till 2030, and the aggregate yearly capacity of the projects planned to be implemented is estimated at 13.4 million tonnes. Russia is number one sunflower oil exporter in the world and leads in its supplies to the markets of India, China, Iran, and Turkey. Analysts forecast that the shipments of sunflower oil will amount to 4.5 million tonnes in the season of 2025/26, those of rapeseed oil will amount to 1.7 million tonnes, those of soybean oil will amount to 0.7 million tonnes. Deepening of processing also remains an important factor of development: the sector is strengthening its positions in the segment of higher added value products, which is reflected in the export structure as well. Development of cargo transfer capacities will also play an important role in the further development of the Russian market. Projects have been announced on the new construction, reconstruction, and upgrade of processing capacities in a number of regions of the country. The largest projects are planned in the Central and the Volga Federal Districts.Source: https://specagro.ru/news/202603/investicii-v-maslozhirovuyu-otrasl-do-2030-goda-prevysyat-230-mlrd-rub-rskhb
