MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE EXTENDS AGRICULTURAL INSURANCE SUPPORT

Starting from 1 September 2025, the deductible for crop insurance will be reduced from 50% to 30%, which will increase compensation for farmers. The methodology of calculating the yield insurance value has been updated, and the range of insured events has been increased to include floods, high water, and withdrawal of animals. 14 million ha of crops and 11.5 million heads of cattle were insured in 2024, and the coverage is planned to be extended in 2025. 6.8 billion rubles will be applied towards the support of agricultural insurance.
