New Varieties of Fruit Crops Included in Russia’s State Register

6 new varieties of pomaceous fruit crops have been included into the Russian State Register of Selection Achievements since 2023. Ministry of Agriculture named three of them – apples called Blagodatnoye Koltso, Krymskoye Zolotistoye, and Pamyati Pokrovskoy. They are resistant to many known diseases and pests, as well as to drought and frost down to -26° Celcius. In particular, according to the Registry itself, the Blagodatnoye Koltso variety has a low chance of being affected by blossom weevil and fruit scab, and Krymskoye Zolotoye is not susceptible to fungous diseases. Today, horticulture is one of the most investment-attractive areas of agriculture.
