Nigeria to Buy Russian Farm Machinery

One of the states of Nigeria has already drawn up and submitted a request to buy agricultural machinery and equipment in Russia in the amount of over 110 million dollars. This interest is explained by agricultural development strategy. It had been reported earlier that Russia would help Nigeria as a new BRICS member to develop their agriculture, oil-and-gas sphere, and mineral base. In particular, this involves the increase of Russian grain and fertilizers supplies to the country. Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expect that joining BRICS will allow them getting a unique opportunity to develop trade, investments, and social-economic cooperation with other member countries of the bloc.
