RECORD AMOUNT OF GRAIN SENT BY TRAIN

According to Russian Railways, 32.8 million tons of grain were transported by train last year. This exceeds the results of 2022 by 37% and is the all time high for Russian Railways. Kursk Region (2.9 million tons, +32.9%), Stavropol Territory (2.7 million tons, +31.4%), Saratov Region (2.6 million tons, +49.9%) were the leaders in terms of loaded volume.
23.6 million tons of grain were transported for export in 2023 which is 1.7 times more than in 2022. 14.6 million tons of them were sent through port railway stations (1.9-fold growth), 9 million tons through the border points (1.4-fold growth).
