ROSATOM SERVICE DEVELOPING THE INFRASTRUCTURE OF AGRICULTURAL WASTE RECYCLING

Rosatom Service won the Vershina (Apex) award for its contribution to the development of economy and the investment potential of regions. The company presented a project on creating a closed cycle infrastructure based on biogas technology aimed at recycling organic agricultural waste and manufacturing energy-efficient products. A standard biogas station with the capacity of 2.4 MW can process up to 91 thousand tonnes of livestock waste per year and produce 5.6 million m3 of biomethane. The produced energy is supplied to up to 1.3 thousand households, and the byproduct is organo-mineral fertilizers. Methane transforms to electrical and thermal energy in the process of biodegradation. Biogas stations not only solve the issue of disposal but also make high added value products.
