RUSSIA BECOMES THE BIGGEST SUNFLOWER OIL EXPORTER TO TURKEY IN OCTOBER

Russia became the leading supplier of sunflower oil to Turkey in October of the current year. Our country sent 75 thousand tonnes of the product to this market. The gap with the same month of last year is conspicuous – Russia delivered 42.6 thousand tonnes at that time. The agency also provided monthly data for imports which amounted to 100 thousand tonnes in January, and increased to 130 thousand tonnes in February. There was a decrease to 120 thousand in March, but in April exports jumped to 160 thousand, and about 140 thousand tonnes were delivered every month in May and June. There are also data on the overall imports of sunflower oil. They amounted to 82.6 thousand tonnes in the current month, up 17 thousand on a year earlier.
