RUSSIA INTRODUCES NEW RISK INDICATORS FOR AGROCHEMICALS

Amendments to the risk indicators evidencing a probable violation of mandatory requirements regarding safe pesticides and agrochemicals handling have entered into force in Russia. Non-compliance with the regulations will be defined for over 12 months in a row, and not during a calendar year. This will make it possible to take into account the violations of the previous year, for example, those committed while treating winter crops. Information on grain yield will also be taken from a unified information system of agricultural lands – EFGIS ZSN belonging to the Ministry of Agriculture, and only then it will be included to the Zerno (“Grain”) information system.
