RUSSIA SETS A RECORD IN ICE CREAM PRODUCTION

Last year, Russia’s ice cream production reached its maximum value and amounted to 600 thousand tonnes. A new high is connected, first of all, with the growth in the consumption of the sweet treat. The General Director of the National Dairy Producers Union (Soyuzmoloko) and a member of ROSNG expert board Artyom Belov pointed out that most milk industry players invest in the extension of capacities actively. This is happening amid high market growth rates despite not very comfortable conditions for debt financing. He also reminded that about 25 billion rubles had been invested in the sector over the past 5 years.
