RUSSIAN FEDERAL STATE STATISTICS SERVICE REPORTS THE GROWTH OF WHEAT YIELD IN 2025

Russian Federal State Statistics Service initially estimated the wheat yield of 2025 as 91.4 million tonnes in net weight, up 10.6% on a year earlier, according to the statistics service. Besides, the yield of barley increased by 18.3%, to 19.7 million tonnes, that of oats did by a quarter, to 3.8 million tonnes, that of proso millet did by 8.7%, to 3.5 million tonnes. At the same time, 999 thousand tonnes of rye were harvested versus 1.2 million a year before, 923 thousand tonnes of buckwheat versus 1.2 million a year before, and 12.7 million tonnes of corn versus 13.95 million a year before. The yield of pulses has reached a record of 8 million tonnes, having increased by half over a year. Totally, the yield of grains and pulses is estimated as 139.4 million tonnes in net weight this year versus 125.9 million a year before.
