RUSSIAN MINISTRY OF AGRICLTURE PREPARING FEDERAL MEASURES OF SUPPORT FOR ORGANIC PRODUCERS

Russia’s Ministry of Agriculture is introducing the federal measures of support for the producers of organic products as part of the Development of Small Agrobusiness federal project starting from 2026. Farmers and cooperatives that produce or process organic products will receive 10% more state support. The range of state support will be increased depending on demand among the organic producers themselves. Some regions are already taking an active part in the support of organic producers. These are, for example, Voronezh and Belgorod Regions, the Republic of Mordovia. It is important to focus on the extension of people’s demand for organic products, their popularization and promotion, the Ministry of Agriculture points out. On bringing information to people that organic goods mean healthy lifestyle and the health of future generations.
