More than 20 agritourism sites operate in Sochi. In addition to tea plantations, the resort area fosters the cultivation of subtropical crops and berries, as well as livestock farming, fish farming, and cheesemaking. Sochi farmers have produced over 21 tons of cheese. Cheesemaking is primarily carried out by eco-farms, and their products are in demand among restaurateurs due to their natural ingredients and local origins. This emphasis on local produce is crucial for supporting farmers within the framework of import substitution. The development of agritourism boosts farm profitability and creates a unique gastronomic experience for tourists visiting the resort. One of the leading agritourism enterprises produces 16 varieties of cheese along with other dairy products; since the beginning of the year, it has produced 1.4 tons of cheese. In March, Sochi farms received high praise from the country's leading chefs as part of the "Gastronomic Map of Russia" project. Experts noted that local cheeses can compete with foreign counterparts. In total, more than 50 local companies and farms in Sochi are engaged in industrial and agricultural import substitution. Over 100 product items bear the "Made in Kuban" quality mark.Source: https://rg.ru/2026/10/03/reg-ufo/tonny-syra.html
