STRATEGIC BENCHMARKS OF AGROSILA’S PLANT GROWING: EXPANSION OF CULTIVATED AREAS AND NEW TECHNOLOGIES IN THE SEASON OF 2026

AGROSILA holding has approved a new crop farming program for 2026, in which the total cultivated area will amount to 202,042 hectares, up 11,102 hectares (or 5.8%) on the previous season. The increase has been achieved due to the reduction of fallow lands, which will allow of a more effective use of agricultural lands. Planned field performance for the key crops is set at a good level: 443.3 dt/ha for sugar beet, 46.0 dt/ha for winter wheat, 42.0 dt/ha for barley, 21.6 dt/ha for sunflower, 20.0 dt/ha for rapeseed. Sugar beet, winter wheat, rapeseed, sunflower, maize for silage, and perennial crops remain priority crops. Concerning technologies, the holding is planning to introduce changes in the sowing technology and the system of mineral nutrition of sugar beet and sunflower in 2026, which will allow of a more effective use of fertilizers, reducing sowing terms, and increasing crop productivity.
