The first aggregator of fruit products has started operating in Dagestan. In the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan, the region’s first pilot project for commercial agglomeration of fruit products has been launched. The infrastructure base for the aggregator is an agricultural cooperative, whose members have commissioned a specialized fruit storage facility with a capacity of 1.1–1.2 thousand tons. The agricultural aggregator is focused on working with producers of plums, grapes, and persimmons. The organization has signed an agreement with X5 to supply products to the Pyaterochka chain of stores. Logistics are organized on the basis of self‑pickup via X5 transport, which distributes refrigerated truck traffic across hubs in Moscow, Voronezh, Yekaterinburg, and other central cities of the country. The aggregator consolidates batches of 2 tons or more. Under the agreement with X5, the cooperative will ensure the supply of 1,500 tons of plums and 1,000 tons of table grapes by the end of the current year. The aggregator also receives products from gardeners in the border regions of Chechnya.Source: https://www.agroinvestor.ru/regions/news/46436-v-dagestane-nachal-rabotu-pervyy-agregator-plodovoy-produktsii/
