THE GOVERNMENT TO SEND ADDITIONAL 20 BILLION RUBLES TO AGRARIANS

The decision was made at the meeting of the Government of the Russian Federation. As the Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin noted, these funds can be used to purchase farm machinery, mineral fertilizers, fuel, and seeds for the successful conducting of the sowing campaign.
According to the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev, about 7 billion rubles of the additional 20 billion rubles will be used for preferential short term loans for the sowing campaign. Crop production area will increase by 300 thousand hectares this year — to 84.5 million hectares.
