The chief agronomist of the agricultural production cooperative SPK Streletsky in Tula Region Ilya Kravtsov reported the market possibilities of the Russian malting barley. The domestic varieties of this product have begun growing in popularity in the industry lately. The demand for malting barley depends on the year. It is influenced by the yield in the country and the volumes covered by brewers through their own farms, and as a result, the demand varies in the course of time. Russian beer producers began investing in domestic selection in order to reduce dependency on foreign partners. Our varieties are also gaining some popularity and are becoming more demanded by the industry.
