VLADIMIR PUTIN EXTENDS FOOD IMPORT EMBARGO FOR TWO YEARS

Food import embargo was imposed in Russia in 2014 in response to the sanctions of the Western countries. Import ban for certain foods and raw materials related to USA, European Union, Australia, Norway, and Canada, later it was extended to Albania, Liechtenstein, Iceland, Montenegro, Ukraine, and UK.
The measure was prolonged every year. By the Executive Order of the Russian President Vladimir Putin, the food import embargo was now extended for two years, 2025 and 2026.
