AGRARIANS OF SVERDLOVSK REGION PURCHASE 16 THOUSAND TONNES OF MINERAL FERTILIZERS FOR THE YIELD OF 2026

22,100 tonnes of mineral fertilizers are planned to be purchased in Sverdlovsk Region in 2026. According to the regional Ministry of the Agro-Industrial Complex and Consumer Market, as at 3 April, farms have already bought 16,000 tonnes of fertilizers (72% of the plan), up 32.9% on a year before. Besides, 5,421,600 tonnes of diesel fuel and 795,600 tonnes of petrol have been bought by the farms of the region since the beginning of the year. As of 3 April, 3,299,500 tonnes of fuel and 486,700 tonnes of petrol are left to be bought. According to the regional authorities, about 80,000 pieces of agricultural machinery and equipment will be used during the sowing campaign of the current year. The agrarians of Sverdlovsk Region are provided with the required volume of main crop seeds. Moreover, varieties bred in Ural are successfully used in the region. The total sowing area will be about 760,000 ha, just like in 2025.
