AGROSILA TO INCREASE THE OUTPUT OF DAIRY PRODUCTS

The General Director of Agrosila JSC Svetlana Barsukova told about the holding’s plans for the development of dairy production and shared the components of business development strategy in an interview to Milknews.
Last year, OOO Agrosila-Moloko which is a part of the holding produced 46 thousand tonnes of dairy products, this year the volumes are planned to be increased to 47 thousand tonnes. Svetlana Barsukova called cheese production promising. The dairy plant will produce 3.5 thousand tonnes of cheese before the end of 2024, which is 2.3 times as much as last year. The production will update its ultra-pasteurized milk filling equipment and purchase new automatic packing machines for fermented milk products.
Currently, average daily milk yield per forage cow is 21 kg, and 24.5 kg per dairy cow. By the end of the year, AGROSILA is going to achieve 22.5 kg and 26 kg respectively. For this purpose, low productive stock is being culled, effective measures for the prevention and treatment of diseases of productive animals are being implemented, work is underway to improve the clinical status of the stock.
“The key element of AGROSILA’s success in milk market is the use of material from our own farm firms which allows us to control quality and safety carefully at all production stages. It results in consumer trust and stable product demand. Along with it, our strategy includes constant work on the increase of cow productivity. It consists of the optimization of inefficient farms, modernization and construction of commercial dairy complexes, as well as the improvement of cows’ genetic potential and their selection, the implementation of an effective scheme of disease prevention and cattle treatment, creating a solid base of our own feed”, Svetlana Barsukova pointed out.
Answering a question about biosecurity in stock raising companies, the general director emphasized that it is an absolute priority. The enterprises of the holding which produce animal products operate in a closed regime. Production facilities are closed for outsiders, all necessary security measures are strictly observed.
