4 April 2026 |
In 2026, areas sown to oil crops will increase to 2 million hectares in Altai Territory. At the same time, the total cultivated area of the Territory will remain at the level of previous years and will amount to 5.3 million hectares. Grains and pulses will occupy about 2.7 million hectares. As the Minister of Agriculture of Altai Territory Sergei Mezhin pointed out, the structure of cultivated areas has been optimal over the last five years due to crop rotation and the inclusion of marginal and staple crops. The tendency will continue this year too. If we talk about the state support of the agro-industrial complex of Altai Territory, the volume of subsidies for elite seed production will amount to 140 million rubles in the region this year, which is higher than a year before. About 300 million rubles will be applied towards the support of grain production and sale. Animal husbandry development subsidies will amount to 500 million rubles. Besides, short-term reduced-rate lending will be available to the agrarians of Altai Territory. At the moment, loans totaling 12 billion rubles have been approved for them.Source: https://svetich.info/v-altajskom-krae-ploshhad-seva-maslichnyh-kultur-prevysit-2-mln-gektarov/
