BARTER TRADE MECHANIZM TO BE ESTABLISHED BETWEEN RUSSIA AND PAKISTAN

Agreement on barter sales of farm produce was concluded on the sidelines of the first Pakistan-Russia Trade and Investment Forum. The Russian party was represented by Astarta Agrotrading company, and Pakistani party was represented by Meskay & Femtee Trading Company.
The Russian company will export 20 thousand tonnes of chickpeas by barter, in exchange for 20 thousand tonnes of rice. Under another contract, 15 thousand tonnes of chickpeas and 10 thousand tonnes of lentils will be sent to Pakistan, and 15 thousand tonnes of mandarins and 10 thousand tonnes of potatoes will be delivered to Russia.
