CRIMEA INCREASING INDUSTRIAL SCALE OLIVE PRODUCTION

Cold weather in Crimea allowed plant scientists to get the results of their experimental developments. Cultivated olives successfully survived real frosts. Earlier, scientists also examined the medicinal properties of olive tree leaves. Olive leaves and fruit contain a whole range of unique bioactive substances. The varieties developed by the scientists survived the temperature of -14 degrees Celsius. The search of ways to expand the area of growing black olives continues. Sevastopol region situated at the border of subtropical and moderately continental climatic zones is promising.  The hotels and health resorts of the southern coast are establishing olive groves. Even the parks of Simferopol began growing the trees.
