25 September 2025 |
Eating fish at an early age on a regular basis is associated with the increase of IQ by eight scores on average, according to Anatoly Moiseyev, a holder of Habilitation Degree in Medicine. Fish is the source of highly digestible proteins and fats, a significant amount of B-group vitamins, iodine, selenium, and minerals. You may include fish into baby diet at the age of eight months, starting with cod, hake, humpbacked salmon, or Atlantic salmon. While doing so, it is important to watch out for a possible allergic response. Babies aged older than one year are advised to eat fish two or three times a week. It is not recommended to include the meat of crabs, shrimps, squid, and mussels into the diet of children aged one - three years in our country due to their high potential allergenicity.
