FIRST SNAIL FARM OPENS IN ASTRAKHAN

In Astrakhan, tourists will soon have an opportunity not only to taste water melons in the melon field and all types of fish dishes. The list of familiar local delicious specialties will also include snails from the Mediterranean region soon. Sergei Pavlovsky, a resident of Astrakhan, has taken on the development of this destination of gastrotourism and opened the first snail farm in the region. Excursions will start here from the next tourist season for guests who will be able to taste the delicacy directly on the plot where the mollusks live. In future, one more area of activity is planned at the snail farm – cosmetology. As is commonly known, special mucus produced by snails is called mucin. It is added in facial creams, masks, lotions, serums, and other skin care products.
