GRAIN INTERVENTIONS WILL BEGIN NEXT THURSDAY

This was reported by Interfax, citing the trading schedule on the National Commodity Exchange website, where grain purchases for the state intervention fund will take place. The state procurement process has been organized pursuant to an order from the Russian Ministry of Agriculture dated September 23, 2026. JSC "OZK" (United Grain Company) has been designated as the operator—a role it has held since 2002. Agricultural producers from 14 regions have been invited to participate in these interventions: the Voronezh, Kursk, Lipetsk, Tambov, Ryazan, Volgograd, Rostov, Orenburg, Penza, Samara, Saratov, and Ulyanovsk regions, as well as the Krasnodar and Stavropol territories. The plan is to purchase up to 3 million tonnes of grain from the current and previous harvests. The crops to be procured include class 3 and 4 soft wheat, food-grade rye (class 3 or higher), and barley.
