GRAIN RESERVES AT PRODUCERS AND PROCESSORS REACH 14.7 MILLION TONNES IN APRIL

Procurement and processing organizations of the Russian Federation had a significant growth of grain and pulses reserves by the beginning of April 2026, amounting to 14.7 million tonnes, up 6% on the same period of the previous year. This information was made public by Zerno On-Line agency citing the Federal State Statistics Service. In particular, grain reserves reached 11.1 million tonnes, up 500,000 tonnes on a year before. Food-grade wheat reserves amounted to 7.6 million tonnes of them, having increased by 700,000 tonnes. Barley remainder also showed positive dynamics and increased to 1.4 million tonnes from 1.3 million tonnes a year before. At the same time, corn reserves showed a slight decline and amounted to 0.9 million tonnes versus 1.0 million tonnes during the previous year.
