INSURANCE PAYOUTS TO AGRARIANS AMOUNT TO ALMOST 3.4 BILLION RUBLES IN THE FIRST QUARTER OF THE YEAR

Growers received 3.366 billion rubles under agricultural insurance agreements supported by the state in the first quarter of 2026. All payouts were made to compensate for crop loss. As the President of the National Association of Agriculture Insurers Kornei Bizhdov pointed out, the total volume of insurance payouts had increased by 6% on the same period of last year. Agrarians received about 3.2 billion rubles from insurance companies at that time. The biggest compensations, more than 1.865 billion rubles, were received by the farms of Rostov Region. Krasnodar Territory was the second; its farmers received about 396 million rubles. If we talk about agricultural insurance programs, the largest volume of insurance indemnity was accounted for by multirisk and amounted to about 3 billion rubles. According to the emergency crop insurance program, the amount of payouts increased 15 times and amounted to 359 million rubles during the first quarter of 2026.
