MARKETABLE MILK PRODUCTION INCREASED BY 5.7%

Marketable milk production in January-March 2023, according to preliminary estimates, increased by 5.7% up to 5.9 mln. tons compared to 2022, including farms – by 6.8% (+307 thousand tons), up to 4.8 mln. tons. Such data are provided in the report of Milknews Analytical Centre. As noted by analysts, main growth at farms is seen in the Republic of Tatarstan (+41 thousand tons), in Krasnodar Territory (+39), in Udmurtian Republic (+15), in Kaluga (+12), Yaroslavl (+12), and Kursk (+11) Regions. Whereas production in Moscow (-6), Tyumen (-4) Regions and a number of other regions is decreasing.
