MORE THAN 200 MILLION HAS BEEN ALLOCATED FOR THE PURCHASE OF NEW CATTLE IN THE NOVOSIBIRSK REGION.

In the Novosibirsk region, the restoration of cattle, which had previously been seized due to an outbreak of pasteurellosis, is in full swing. 208 million rubles have already been provided for this purpose. In total, these funds are planned to purchase 800 heads of heifers with breeding status and dairy productivity. They should be purchased by one of the most important farms in the region — JSC named after Lenin in Kupinsky district. It is expected that all livestock will be purchased by the end of the year in 4 parts. The largest number of animals is planned to be purchased in December — 275 head. This month, 140 animals are to be acquired, in October — 200, and in November — 185 animals. The purchase of breeding stock helps to obtain a higher‑quality and more productive herd, and the lack of calving experience is compensated for by the animals’ youth and greater resilience. Earlier, the regional government reported that assistance to those affected is provided by the All‑Russian Association “People’s Farmer”. It has already raised 55 million rubles for the restoration of the herd. According to the latest available data as of September 9, 620 head of livestock were placed in 190 private subsidiary farms in three districts — in addition to Kupinsky, these are also Karasuksky and Ordynsky. Of these, only 314 animals were cattle — 164 cows and heifers and 150 young stock. Another 303 were sheep, goats, and pigs.
