MORE THAN 5 MILLION TONS OF GRAIN WERE HARVESTED IN THE SARATOV REGION.

Farmers in the Saratov Region harvested more than 5 million tons of grain and leguminous crops during the harvest campaign. The harvest was obtained from an area of 1.8 million hectares. The yield of winter crops in the region amounted to 33.7 centners per hectare, which is 20% higher than the previous year’s figure. In total, it is planned to harvest 5.1 million tons of grain in the Saratov Region in 2026. Alongside the grain harvest, farmers are also harvesting sunflowers, sugar beets, potatoes, vegetables, fruits, and melons. Sowing of winter crops is also ongoing. Work has been completed on an area of 862,000 hectares, or 75% of the planned area. The total storage capacity for the new crop in the region is 7.3 million tons. There are 1.2 million tons still available. According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, there are no risks related to storing the harvested crop.
