RUSSIA ONE OF TOP THREE VEGETABLE OIL EXPORTERS ACCORDING TO THE RESULTS OF THE SEASON

Поле.РФ (pole.rf) magazine gives this data with reference to the Russian Union of Oils and Fats (Maslozhirovoy Soyuz Rossii). The exports of Russian vegetable oils amounted to 7.2 million tonnes in the season of 2023/2024. 5.2 million tonnes of sunflower oil, 1.2 million tonnes of rapeseed oil, 757 thousand tonnes of soybean oil were exported.
“According to the results of the expiring 2023/24 season, Russia ranks the 3d in vegetable oil exports to the world market with a share of 8%, being after Indonesia and Malaysia, the main palm oil suppliers. At the same time, our country keeps the palm of victory in the total volume of sunflower, rapeseed, and soybean oil supplies to the world market, the share of domestic products is 20%”, the Executive Director of the Russian Union of Oils and Fats Mikhail Maltsev pointed out.
The exports of oilseed meals increased by 15%, to 4.2 million tonnes. 2.8 million tonnes of sunflower meal, 913 thousand tonnes of soybean meal, 485 thousand tonnes of rapeseed meal were exported during the season.
