RUSSIA SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASES VETERINARY VACCINE PRODUCTION RATE. 19.6 BILLION VETERINARY VACCINES PRODUCED DURING 7 MONTHS

This was told by Maria Novikova, the director of the Veterinary Department of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture. 19.6 billion doses were produced in the country in January-July 2024, while the production for the whole last year amounted to 19.2 billion doses. 19.34 billion doses of poultry immunobiological preparations were manufactured in 7 months of 2024, up 3.6% on the whole 2023. 59 million doses of pig vaccines, 19 million doses of cattle vaccines, and about 7 million doses of cat and dog vaccines were produced in January-July of this year.
There are 93 Russian companies producing veterinary preparations, 13% of them are state-owned. About 2.3 thousand medicinal drugs for veterinary use are registered in the country at the moment, 62% of them are domestic veterinary preparations.
