RUSSIA TO BEGIN MARKING OF GROCERY PRODUCTS

Russia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade offered to start mandatory marking of the products manufactured by large flour-milling enterprises and a number of other grocery goods from next March. In particular, it is proposed to include groats, cereals, legumes, and other consumer packaged products of flour and groat industry used as food after cooking into this list. Other goods include instant potatoes, breakfast foods (including those that do not need cooking), natural and artificial honey, honey-based products, and other bee products. Product marking will be introduced step-by-step.
