RUSSIA TO RETURN CORN EXPORT DUTY AGAIN
29 March 2026 |
Tariffs for corn will take effect in Russia next Wednesday, 1 April, for the first time in many months and will amount to 212.2 rubles per tonne. This is said in the documents of the Ministry of Agriculture which determines the sizes of the duties. Before that, the duties for the crop grew, dropped, or nullified, but in general, such periods were unstable. Last time, corn duties were cancelled on 15 October last year. Wheat export duties will continue to grow too. They are to amount to 707.8 rubles per tonne, up 192.2 rubles on last week. Meslin tariff rates will be similar. Tariffs for the both crops always change simultaneously and to the same value. Meanwhile, barley rates will have remained zero for almost a year. Grain producers have already repeatedly come forward for cancelling the “floating” duties for these crops. This mechanism was aimed at supporting the profitability of growers.Source: https://rosng.ru/post/v-rossii-vnov-vernut-eksportnuyu-poshlinu-na-kukuruzu
