TATARSTAN STRENGTHENS COOPERATION WITH UZBEKISTAN IN AGRICULTURE

Prospects for the development of relations were discussed at the meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan — Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov and the Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Kazan Nodirjon Kasimov. The parties pointed out the necessity to enhance collaboration for further bilateral cooperation in agriculture.
Tatarstan and Uzbekistan implement investment projects relating to melioration systems, agricultural machinery, and selection of grain seeds. International ties in the digitalization of agro-industrial complex and logistics are developing.
Tatarstan exports margarine, sugar, chocolate, jam, jelly, fruit jellies, and ketchup to Uzbekistan. The biggest part of imports is vegetables, prunes, and peanuts.
